POSITION SUMMARY:
An experienced, Master's level researcher (PhD is preferred) is needed to support the development of a novel cancer immunotherapy program in collaboration with the Director and multiple other investigators at the Tampa General Hospital Cancer Institute. The individual filling this position will be responsible for designing and executing the experimental work need to support program objectives. In addition to troubleshooting experiments, this individual will establish and validate experimental protocols and maintain resources needed to fulfill experimental objectives, including the operationalization of functional flow cytometry core. They will support the preparation and submission of grants, proposal and assist with the preparation, editing and submission of relevant manuscripts summarizing work. Lastly, this individual will work closely with faculty and staff to support USF and TGH faculty goals as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Independently plans, executes the experimental work needed to complete all assigned projects; analyzes results of experiments so that outcomes can be discussed with supervisor and/or other USF faculty; troubleshoots technical issues which may arise.
Operationalize and maintain specialized hardware needed to achieve experimental objectives and immunotherapy program goals.
Supports the preparation of data for publication, and actively supports the preparation of grants, abstracts, presentations and manuscripts.
Works closely with USF faculty to facilitate experimental plans by participating in laboratory and program meetings as requested.
Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
Master's degree in natural sciences or medicine related to the specific area of research and two years of research experience. Doctoral study in a directly related field may substitue for the required experience.

FLSB1310 equivalency:
Six years of directly related experience can be substituted for a Master's degree.
Nine years of directly related experience can be substituted for a Doctoral degree.
