Scientific Research Assistant, PCORI PT
Epidemiology
Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary
The Scientific Research Assistant aids the principal investigator, field coordinator, and clinical research coordinator to recruit, retain, and collect data for a pediatric asthma research study. Additional responsibilities include telephone calls, administering questionnaires, conducting interviews, and assisting with a variety of other study related tasks. This position requires occasional work on Saturday.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in teams.
• Dependability including the ability to independently manage time.
• Ability to speak Spanish.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule and some Saturdays.
Required Education and/or Experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1 year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working on a research study or in a health clinic is preferred but not required.
• Experience with economically and socially marginalized populations.
• Competent with technology (MS Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint; Outlook)
Compensation Information
This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 23.
