Scientific Research Assistant.

Location: New Orleans, LA
Summary
Under general supervision, the Scientific Research Assistant collects, inputs and organizes data. The assistant performs quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and formats and edits research documents.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Highly proficient computer skills
- Ability to manage large data sets
- Highly proficient data research and analysis skills
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; good manuscript and grant writing skills; familiarity with manuscript publication and grants submission processes and procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments
- Ability to work well independently and demonstrate proficient problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain good working relationships
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed
Required Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- High School Diploma/Equivalent and 6 year's directly related experience
Compensation Information
This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 23.
