Job Description:


The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine seeks clinicians, holding MD, or MD/PhD degrees for a faculty position with open rank and tenure status. Rank, salary, and tenure status commensurate with experience and qualifications. Proton Therapy and Brachytherapy experience are highly encouraged but not required.
Clinician candidates must be board-certified or board eligible in radiation oncology and eligible to be licensed in Alabama. Candidates must have strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, be highly motivated, and be compassionate towards all patients.
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham stands proudly among the nation's leaders in the field. UAB Radiation Oncology offers a wide range of advanced treatment techniques in radiation therapy, including triggered imaging radiosurgery, medical dosimetry, three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy, brachytherapy, external beam radiation therapy, image-guided radiotherapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy, proton beam therapy, radioisotope therapy, stereotactic body radiation therapy, total body irradiation, and total skin irradiation. Individual faculty members maintain areas of specialty interest and strive for new discovery in these areas.
