School-Based Psychotherapist Position at Metro Schools:

•    Provide high-quality direct services, including crisis intervention, psychotherapy, assessment, support services and follow-up to at-risk children and adolescents and their families. Services provided primarily in person with option of virtual services in limited circumstances
•    Coordinate intervention strategies with school personnel, mental health center personnel and other community agencies as the short- and long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic emerges
•    Screen, referral and case management activities to help youth access relevant services

•    Assist with the evolution of an effective, efficient preventive services program

•    Participate in public information and public relations activities, serving as a community liaison and advocating for mental health and Metro Schools
•    Coordinate and collaborate with other child-serving systems

•    Maintain data and documentation to track outcome measures and assisting in compiling outcome measure reports. Completing all paperwork associated with the financial, clinical, legal or regulatory management of the students’ behavioral health care or Metro Schools operations in a timely and accurate manner
•    Serve as a primary liaison between Metro Schools administration  and the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center to ensure successful program administration and to best meet the needs of the Metro Schools and students

•    Develop policies, procedures and guidelines for services provided

•    Communicate with current Metro Schools student services, faculty and staff

•    Lead educational programming and initiatives for the Metro Schools

OSUWMC School-Based Psychotherapist will be located at, and integrated in, The Metro Early College High School and Middle Schools. Metro Schools is a semi-public, non-charter privately funded high school and middle school located in Columbus, Ohio; on the campus of The Ohio State University. Psychotherapist will provide short-term high-quality direct services, including crisis intervention, psychotherapy, assessment, support services and follow-up to at-risk students (children and adolescents) and their families. Services provided primarily in person at the school with option of some virtual services in limited circumstances. Psychotherapist will coordinate intervention strategies with school personnel and other involved behavioral health agencies. OSWMC Psychotherapists will actively participate in all relevant meetings and events, including guidance counselor and social worker meetings, IEP/504 meetings, parent meetings and student behavioral health care discussions with district team members.

For Hire Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling or related field; Independent Ohio license to practice (i.e., LISW, or LPCC, or LICDC) is required. A minimum of two years of experience working with patients with mental illness and/or substance use disorders is also required. Experience and/or training in at least one evidence-based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy) is preferred. 

  

Ongoing :  Maintain licensure(s), credentials, and CBLs. Practice within the parameters of the Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board, Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board.  Training in at least one evidence-based psychotherapy modality (e.g., cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal psychotherapy) will be required.
