The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer (REMOTE AVAILABLE) [R0132981].

ROLE of the POSITION

The Digital Strategy and Transformation (DST) Center of Excellence (COE) team provides Salesforce best practices guidance, system support, and development for business units, not only in Enrollment and Student Services (ESS), but across the University. Reporting to the COE Director, the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Developer is an integral member of the COE team responsible for managing, maintaining, designing, and implementing SFMC initiatives. The Developer will ensure the system is operational, efficient, and satisfies the needs of users. In particular, the SFMC Developer has administrative responsibilities, and project responsibilities all the while demonstrating strong capabilities as a professional on the COE team. The incumbent will be responsible for day-to-day multi-channel and cross-cloud campaign execution that includes segmentation, design, scheduling, testing, deployment, assessment, and reporting.

The SFMC Developer will perform complex, professional-level duties in analysis, evaluation, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and maintenance to include the following primary responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on SFMC technology, features, and offerings

  • Research and assist with making recommendations/developing strategies to implement delivered or additional features/products to move our marketing technology program forward

  • Utilize SFMC/Journey Builder to create, maintain, and monitor cross-channel and cross-cloud journeys

  • Oversee day-to-day multi-channel and cross-cloud campaign execution for Marketing Cloud customers (including Admissions,

  • Registrar, Financial Aid, and others) which may include segmentation, design, scheduling, testing, deployment, assessment and reporting.

  • Utilize SQL and automation activities to segment audiences and maintain data extensions for various purposes

  • Maintain contact model, data extensions, ad hoc data imports, and monitor contact count/cleanup for billing purposes

  • Manage Marketing Cloud Connect product that connects SFMC and SFDC core products including synchronized objects, integrated users, etc.

  • Manage account configuration and setup for business units and users

  • Monitor and maintain subscriber data quality and integrity.

  • Provide expertise in digital marketing, campaign management, marketing automation and Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions.

  • Monitor deliverability of email marketing campaigns and implement/manage strategies to improve performance

  • Review release notes, testing, and disseminating relevant release information in a timely fashion.

  • Proactively research email and mobile deliverability and engagement best practices

  • Advise colleagues and constituents on proper procedures related to CAN-SPAM, CCPA, CASL, and GDPR compliance as appropriate

  • Provide support for issues relating to Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

  • Measure, track, and disseminate marketing analytics reports that include metrics such as campaign ROI, attribution, and effectiveness.

  • Keep abreast of regular releases to help analyze new technologies, create new processes, and recommend enhancements to Salesforce.

  • Partner with COE and DST teams to strategize, design, develop, and implement projects within the Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college and a minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is required and includes:

  • Experience with relational database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL and an intermediate working knowledge of SQL

  • Experience with automation and maintenance of digital marketing systems including building campaigns, designing flows, managing data, etc.

  • Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect Product

  • Experience with preference centers and subscription/list/preference management

A Salesforce Marketing Email Specialist Certification is required. 

A Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant Certification is preferred. Experience with Salesforce Sales or Service Clouds and associated data model, Experience with AMP script (or JavaScript) and HTML, and Experience with SFMC APIs or SSJS is also preferred.

The incumbent must have specific skill and knowledge in the following areas:

KNOWLEDGE

  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

  • Knowledge of cloud-based systems technical requirements and limitations.

  • Solid understanding of SFMC data model and management.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Journey Builder.

SALARY RANGE

Salary is competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. The position is contingent upon funding with a minimum starting salary of $88,700.
