Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience including human resources experience, specifically with hiring/on-boarding/termination paperwork, recruitment, and payroll. Excellent customer service skills, supervisory experience, staff training coordination, and organizational and administrative skills. Ability to use database management programs, Microsoft Office, and electronic mail. |
Preferred Qualifications | Knowledge of USC policies, procedures, and human resource systems preferred. Understanding of PeopleSoft and PeopleAdmin. |
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities | Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to provide and understand the importance of excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of recruitment principles, methods, techniques, and resources. Database management skills. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities. |
Job Duties
Job Duty | Develop and coordinate all aspects of dual employment for the Division of Student Affairs. Participate in recruitment, hiring and onboarding, termination paperwork, and timely submission of all required documentation. Works closely with departmental leadership and staff to provide guidance and assistance for dual employment, student hiring and problem solving issues. |

Job Duty | Monitor the HR ticketing system and work with units to execute HR actions in PeopleSoft HCM and PeopleAdmin including but not limited to position description updates, hiring proposals, job postings, temporary salary adjustments, separations, bonuses, pay for performances, etc. Reviews human resource (HR) actions for compliance with University policies and procedures and Division of Student Affairs & Academic Support processes, escalating any potential concerns. Work with Central HR Student Employment Team to oversee and administer policies and procedures related to student hiring to streamline processes and and ensure appropriate policies and procedures are followed. |

Job Duty | Hire students in PeopleSoft HCM. Initiate and track process of required background checks. Receive, analyze, and enter employment eligibility (Form I-9 and E-Verify) data to ensure compliance with federal regulations. Communicate with students and supervisors. Work as part of the student employment team to support the recruitment and hiring of student employees across various departments within SAAS. Ensure student hires complete all necessary paperwork and comply with hiring policies. As a team, develop and implement an effective onboarding process for new student employees. Assist with training, developing, and facilitating the division student hiring training. |
