The Program Aide develops strategies for student-athlete's individual learning style. Works with assigned student-athletes to develop a professional relationship to maximize their academic potential.

What you need to know

Salary: Commensurate based on hire's experience.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Athletic of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software

  • Knowledge of NCAA academic rules

  • Ability to comprehend oral and written instructions

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

Responsibilities:

  • Academic Case Load - Provides general instruction in study skills, note-taking, test-taking skills. Guides student-athletes in the development of time management and in developing organizational skills. Develops strategies for student-athlete's individual learning style.

  • Reporting - Creates daily progress reports using online system.

  • Staff Communication - Collaborates with Scholastic Supervisors and Learning Specialists about progress and individual student needs.

  • Compliance - Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations concerning student-athletes: conduct, appearance, road games, punctuality and other areas as deemed appropriate. Performs other job duties as assigned.
