Job Summary
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Student Analyst to assist our team. This part-time position is open to both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in business, economics, statistics, or related fields. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing complex data sets to support research projects and lab initiatives.
Essential Functions
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze data by utilizing your robust understanding of Excel.
- Assist in the development of automated data analysis tools and dashboards.
- Produce reports and presentations that summarize findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support research projects and administrative tasks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our analytical methodologies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive data.
Minimum Qualifications
* Must be currently enrolled as an Auburn University undergraduate student.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, macros, etc.).
- Experience in data analysis and the ability to gather, clean, interpret, and effectively communicate findings with large amounts of data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Familiarity with other analytical tools like Python or Tableau or querying languages like SQL is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Pay Rate $15.00/hour
