  • File appropriate paperwork related to incidents involving OUA students or housing assignments.

Responsibilities Related to Orientation/Incoming Events:

  • Provide assistance during student incoming and outgoing periods each semester and for summer programs.
  • Prepare (edit, organize and create, as necessary) informational packets for incoming students and faculty members.
  • Organize and plan events during the semester and summer programs to acclimate students to the community.
  • Participate in scheduled orientation sessions and mandatory student meetings throughout the semester and summer.

Responsibilities Related to Advising:

  • Liaison with OUA staff in advising the Student Activities Council (SAC), the student-led organization at OUA, in programming events and outreach activities.

  • Propose initiatives and provide assistance to SAC committee members in planning events and activities.
  • Ensure that SAC notices and communications flow between students and OUA staff.

Additional Information:

GAs are provided with a single room and also have a meal plan that includes breakfast and dinner 5 days/week with students in the RFC. One of the dinners might be substituted for lunch, depending on the semester. The meal plan in the summer is discussed during the appointment.
