The Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks a Patient Revenue Cycle Senior Coordinator for the Emergency Clinic desk. The Patient Registration Emergency Clinic desk is an important part of the health care delivery system ensuring optimal health care experience for our dental patients.

This position will serve the patients of the College of Dentistry by verifying insurance coverages, pre-authorizations, and performing cashier and collections functions. A proportion of time this position will perform each of these functions varying based on the needs of the clinics. Additional responsibilities include answering phones; greeting patients; verification and interpretation of insurance coverage; processing of patient payments; serves as liaison between doctors, patients, and payers.


Work is performed primarily in an office environment and the employee in this position is subject to indoor environmental conditions. This position requires sustained periods using a keyboard and performing other computer work as well as reviewing documents both in hard copy and electronic formats. Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks.

The targeted hiring pay range is $17.10 - $22.60 based on experience and education.

Candidates will need to successfully complete a background check and drug screening.

Hours

Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Experience & Qualifications

Required: Two years’ experience in customer service or communications, analyzing and interpreting information, operation of computer and related peripheral equipment, and information research and analysis.

Desired: 4 -6 years’ experience customer service with direct (in person) contact, preferably Healthcare, Dental/Medical office environment, experience using computers to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex; considerable data entry experience with a high level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (word and excel); ability to use basic office equipment; fax machines, copiers / printers, laminators; a high level of verbal and written skills; ability to contribute and work within a face-paced team environment.
