Under the supervision of the Director of Reunion Programs, the Reunion Programs Associate will work to support the implementation and execution of various reunion programs by coordinating marketing communications, providing administrative support and project management for the UCI Reunion Program, whose primary objective is to use an affinity approach to alumni engagement. The incumbent is a motivated, detail orientated individual willing to partner with university staff, and alumni to create opportunities for alumni to support the UC Irvine mission through service, events, communications, and philanthropy. The scope of responsibilities includes support of event planning, staffing and follow up, coordination of meetings and programs, alumni/donor interactions, budgeting, metrics tracking, communication and marketing plans and strategy, social media creation management, development and graphic design of collateral material, presentations, eblasts, and newsletters. The incumbent performs coordination of complex duties and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Attendance at evening and weekend events are occasionally required.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $26.92 - $31.81 (Hourly Rate). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $26.92 - $46.36 (Hourly Rate).
 
Required:
 
  • 2-3 years of alumni or external relations work or similar. 
  • Project management experience preferred 
  • Experience with social media and or graphic design a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Knowledge of basic concepts and principles of building and maintaining effective relations with a variety of alumni and other key constituencies.
  • Basic knowledge of the institution, its mission, vision, goals, achievements, policies, and infrastructure. 
  • Organizational skills including skill to meet prescribed deadlines; event planning skills. 
  • Written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including tact and political acumen to effectively represent the institution. Analytical and critical thinking skills. 
  • Applicable computer skills. 
  • Ability to comfortably use MS Office programs, donor management databases, and familiarity design and all social media platforms.
  • Ability to be flexible in working independently as well as collaboratively with alumni, friends, parents, faculty, staff, and volunteers to achieve defined goals.Uses initiative to organize and follow through with complex tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent judgment to deal with and disseminate confidential information.
     

Special Conditions Required:
 
• Must possess a valid California driver license and participate in the DMV Pull Notice Program. 
• May be required to drive on occasion in order to perform the routine or essential job responsibilities for the position. Travel required and weekend duties as needed
