Job Description



     • Fulfill the requirements of the HRSA grant to develop and implement a mentoring program with retention services directed to students from TRU-OK to enhance the student’s sense of belonging, identify educational needs, and engage in early mitigation of risk factors to promotion.

     • Provide confidential counseling services for medical and PA students, resident physicians and their family members.

     • Develop the STUDENT SUCCESS program in conjunction with the Student Services staff and the associate deans.

     • Teach medical and PA students and resident physicians educational topics related to student success and wellness.

     • Serve on SCM committees, as assigned.

     • Participate in educational scholarship.

     • Attend SCM White Coat and Commencement ceremonies.


Job Requirements


Education: Master's Degree or above, with a counseling, education, psychology or social work major.

Licenses: Licensed to provide counseling in the State of Oklahoma.

Experience:  Knowledge and experience in providing educational services to post-secondary/professional/graduate school students. Experience providing education wellness programming. 


  • Experience with health professional students

  • Doctoral Degree (Ph.D., Ed.D, PsyD, etc.)
