Respiratory Therapy Pediatric Clinical Coordinator

The Respiratory Therapy Clinical Coordinator is a clinical specialist and an integral part of the leadership team responsible for the administration and management of assigned responsibilities, projects and programs for the Respiratory Therapy Department.

  • Coordinates projects and/or programs for therapy services operations and/or personnel.

  • Serves as an integral member of the Respiratory Therapy Services leadership team.

  • Fluent in healthcare literacy and current standards of evidence based respiratory care practice

  • Serves as chair of Respiratory Therapy Clinical Practice Committee and represents the department on medical center committees as assigned.

  • Develops and coordinates continuing education initiatives to promote quality and consistency of clinical services. 

  • Actively participates in research, quality improvement, onboarding and professional development activities.

  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $76,398.40 - $122,241.60 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree in related field within 3 years.

Experience: 5 years of experience working as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care hospital (academic medical center preferred).

Licensure:

  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) 

  • License to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification

  • NBRC RRT-ACCS and/or RRT-NPS Specialty Credentials

  • Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) basic course for human research within 6 months

    

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires sitting for prolonged periods and Repetitive motion:  (computer use).  Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
