Job Description
Serves as primary point of contact for requesting audio-visual support, and classroom and meeting space within the Centrally Scheduled Room Pool; Responds to timely requests from the medical center and health sciences leadership to meet their scheduling/planning needs per the Wexner Medical Center's Centrally Scheduled Room Policy Resource Planning guide; Committed to meeting the audio visual support, classroom and meeting room space needs of the faculty, staff and students of OSUMC and OSU; Schedules all class and event requests using room and resource scheduling software; monitors and evaluates daily schedule to ensure event demands are met through communication with staff; consults with customers to define scope of class or event; evaluates, determines, and identifies availability of space to meet customer requirements, often needing to problem solve and arbitrate; provides expertise and guidance to customers in choosing space and technology to meet their needs; coordinates class and event coverage and audiovisual equipment usage; provides internal and external training for customers regarding scheduling process and software; makes recommendations for improved efficiencies and customer service; provides guidance as needed with operation, setup and breakdown of both portable and installed audio visual systems and production technologies including video and audio recording, major auditoria, troubleshoots and resolves problems with equipment provided; monitors and tracks space utilization and provides utilization reports to the WMC and the OSU for the State of Ohio; plans, coordinates, assigns and monitors daily workload of student and employees; directly supervises moderate sized student team; plans, coordinates, assigns and monitors daily workload of student and staff; Conducts annual reviews for student team members.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in customer service, event planning and management, and room and resource scheduling systems.
