Job Description Summary:
The residency and fellowship coordinator must be detailed oriented and able to comprehend and execute the guidelines and protocols set forth by the University GME Programs. The position will assist with the planning, execution, administration, and evaluation of the residency and fellowship program functions for the Department of Internal Medicine divisions.
The coordinator assures that programs for the education of fellows are properly organized, wellcoordinated, effective, monitored, and in compliance with requirements set by KUMC’s GME
office and by all organizations and accrediting agencies (such as ACGME). This position responds to all inquiries relative to the programs and performs a wide variety of administrative
duties to ensure proper functioning of the program.

Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Work Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience
- Skills: Self-motivation and adaptability. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Initiative and ability to work both independently and as a team member. Exemplary written and verbal communication skills. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office platform. Ability and willingness to become proficient in ERAS, MedHub, Qgenda, Workday and other department software applications. Ability to maintain strict protocols of all confidential or sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work Experience: Experience with resident/fellowship programs or Graduate Medical Education.
- Skills: Proficiency with ERAS, MedHub, Qgenda and Workday.
Job Duties Outlined:
General program responsibilities as directed by the program director and GME office
Creating, maintaining and updating resident/fellow schedules
Updating and delivering rotation, resident/fellow and faculty evaluations
Assisting with resident/fellow recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and graduation
Financial management and personnel/supervisory responsibilities
Maintaining program compliance and accreditation
