Summary

Manages student residence hall(s) overseeing daily operations and facilitating social and educational opportunities supporting personal growth for residents. This position requires on-campus living in university-provided housing.

Essential Job Functions

  • Supervises the daily operations of the student residence halls activity, including developing and implementing programs to provide students with the opportunity to meet others and engage in and connect with the campus environment
  • Develops and implements student programming to provide students with the opportunity to engage with the campus community and build an affinity for the university
  • Acts as a regular, on-call emergency contact for the office of residential life and responds appropriately to crisis situations in accordance with university guidelines
  • Maintains accurate room assignment and occupancy information for the hall
  • Investigates and responds to questions and/or concerns in a professional manner
  • Monitors condition of the facility reporting any concerns to the facilities management department for follow up
  • Adjudicates hall level student conduct cases and coordinates efforts through the appropriate university office
  • Leads efforts to orient students and assists in their integration into campus life in an effort to support student retention
  • Monitors the departmental budget
  • Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Experience working in student affairs, residential life or other related experience
