Conducts soil analyses and evaluates soil health index. Collates, tabulates, and synthesizes data relevant to training of farmers and for identification of
recommended management practices (RMPs). Identifies issues involved in remote training of farmers for obtaining soil samples, measuring bulk density,
penetration resistance and moisture content, and compiles simple manuals to obtain and prepare soil samples in both national and international context.
Prepares educational materials and presents virtual seminars to farmers/ranchers/land managers and communicates RMPs based on literature review. Writes general summary reports for dissemination, compiles project reports, and prepares research results for publication as journal articles and book chapters. Supervises the project including staff selection, assignments and scheduling, monitoring of project funds, coordination of data generation and analysis and identification, acquisition and use of equipment and facilities. Trains junior investigators, potential investigators, and support personnel; conducts continuing
education for research personnel at all levels; and assists in teaching duties at The Ohio State University. Maintains liaison with sponsoring agencies and
organizations as well as with other research and educational institutions involved in the project.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Master's Degree, PhD or equivalent experience required. 5-6 years of relevant experience required. 6-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
