The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Department of Ped - Infectious Disease, is seeking a Researcher II. The position will involve laboratory duties for research protocols involving COVID-19 and CMV.

General Responsibilities

Under minimal supervision:

  • To set up and perform routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals.
  • To collect, enter and summarize data.
  • To monitor results and report unusual outcomes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs routine laboratory procedures.
  • Receives, processes and assays samples.
  • Organizes freezer and refrigerator inventory.
  • Assists in maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    •  

    Hourly Salary Range     $15.50 - $23.51

     

    Qualifications

     
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
    • OR Associate's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience
    • OR High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience

    Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

    Preferences
