Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and one or more years of research experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. Grade ND1 Wage  Minimum $15.41/hr

Background in Microbiology/biochemistry/cell biology would be preferred with a few years of experience in biomedical research.

The position of Research Technologist II is in the department of Microbiology in the lab of Prof. Yousef Abukwaik.  The research work is focused on interaction of bacterial pathogens with the host cell biology.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Perform experiments
•  Perform lab experiments.
• Develop new experimental procedures and designs
• Prepare materials and equipment necessary for laboratory experiments.
• Perform data entry and analysis.
• Maintain logs and gather data for experiments
• Participate in the planning and development of general goals for the research project
• May instruct lab personnel in special experimental procedures.
• Support sample collecting and processing.
• Potential to oversee lab equipment and supplies
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
