Works under the direct supervision of Dr. Samir Ghadiali on a pulmonary fibrosis research project; assists with maintenance and operation in a laboratory located in the Department of Biomedical Engineering in Fontana labs; responsible for maintaining and overseeing cell and tissue culture preparations; will be trained to support on-going research experiments and supporting basic data processing; assists in supporting other laboratory members and students; manages and maintains laboratory equipment, performs administrative tasks, maintaining stock reagents and solutions; orders supplies and equipment.  

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Biological sciences or Biomedical Engineering; 1 year of previous experience in in-vitro cell culture and computational modeling

Desired: Experience with cell biomechanical assays

Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile is $15.29 - $20.41 per hour, paid bi-weekly. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
