The Vision & Cognitive Neuroscience Lab in the Department of Psychology, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Research Technician to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. The Vision & Cognitive Neuroscience Lab is directed by Dr. Julie Golomb. The Research Technician assists in the general coordination and conduct of research in the Vision & Cognitive Neuroscience laboratory, including conducting research studies, and collecting behavioral, eye-tracking, neuroimaging, and online data; recruits participants for research studies; assists with designing, analyzing, and presenting research experiments, including, assisting with experimental design, programming experiments (in Matlab, Python, Java, and/or JavaScript), analyses of behavioral, neuroimaging, computational, and online data, and preparation of results for inclusion in publications, presentations, and grants; maintains research lab supplies; oversees undergraduate research assistants; coordinates in-person and remote lab meetings; position available for one year with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

Minimum Education Required Bachelors degree with a major in neuroscience or related field

Required Qualifications 1 year of relevant experience required, particularly in cognitive neuroscience, psychology, or other social sciences; technical and computer skills, including experience with one or more programming languages (preferably Matlab, Python, and/or Java, JavaScript); strong organizational and communication skills.

The pay range for this job profile is $15.29-$20.41. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
