Medicine | IM Medical Oncology

Research technician performs basic and routine procedures on lab animals and assists PI with animal experiments.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Executes research projects using the following techniques: molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, Western blot, tissue culture, PCR and flow cytometry; prepares solutions and culture media

  • Collects, sorts and processes tissue and blood samples

  • Prepares research data for the PI’s development, writing and submission of grant proposals to obtain new or renewal of extramural funding in support of research

  • Places supply orders to replenish laboratory stocks.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of college coursework or demonstrated ability in the conduct of routine field work or equivalent combination education and experience.

Target hiring range for this position: $15.29 - $20.41 per hour
