Description of Work
Research in Dr. Edwards’ lab broadly focuses on the development, implementation, and evaluation of violence prevention and response initiatives among structurally minoritized populations. Dr. Edwards’ lab has many grants and needs a research technician to provide research support across a number of these grants. Responsibilities of the research technician include supporting research efforts in close coordination with project management team, including general assistance with conducting literature reviews; editing and adapting research protocols/materials; programming Qualtrics surveys; assisting with participant recruitment, enrollment, and retention; data entry and basic data management; editing manuscripts; and managing reference databases.
The person in this position will work on two projects: (1) a sexual violence prevention project on the Pine Ridge Reservation (SD) and (2) a national study of sexual minority young adult men. The person MUST be located on OR willing to relocate to the Pine Ridge Reservation. The office is located in Wakpamni, a district on the Pine Ridge Reservation. A modest moving stipend will be provided.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social sciences or related field plus one year of experience working in a research laboratory; equivalent education/experience considered. Must be highly organized and conscientious. Excellent communication and time management skills. Able to problem-solve and work collaboratively with research team.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in psychology, education, social sciences or related field plus three years’ experience working on interpersonal violence research and/or research focused on program development and evaluation. Experience programming online surveys is also a plus.
