About the Opportunity

The Research Technician will assist with the research related to the work being conducted in the Hillman Lab.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Laboratory management and data collection and analysis;
  • Assist with research;
  • Work closely with participants, graduate students, research technicians, undergraduate research assistants, and other staff members to ensure research protocols are followed; and
  • Assist with ordering supplies and organizing and draft material for the preparation of presentations and publications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • The person in this position must be able to organize and analyze the data generated from experiments carefully, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to follow instructions carefully.
  • The candidate should be enthusiastic about research, have a passion for learning laboratory methods, be able to work independently, and cooperatively with others as part of a team. 
  • Successful candidates will be expected to be highly organized, dependable, and skilled in the use of Microsoft Office software. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management and solution-focused skills are required. 
  • These skills are typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.  One to two years’ experience working in a Lab environment.
