Job Summary
Perform and manage day-to-day operations in a multidisciplinary research laboratory that works at the interface of life and physical sciences.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in one of the basic sciences; Two years experience in scientific or experimental research work; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • M.S. degree in a life- or physical-science field; degrees in Bioengineering, Biophysics, Chemistry, or Molecular Biology preferred.
  • Experience with biophysical methods and/or tissue culture is highly desirable.
  • Candidate should be familiar with general life-science laboratory techniques such as electrophoresis, chromatography, cell culture, DNA/protein quantitation, and PCR.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support laboratory operations through preparation of reagents, maintenance of cell lines, isolation of DNA from cells and tissue samples, placement/tracking of orders for equipment and consumables, general organization, and record-keeping. Collect and analyze experimental data under supervision of the principal investigator or designated senior personnel.
