Description of Work
The applicant is expected to conduct mammalian cell culture work with human and murine cell lines, as well as murine primary cells. Experiments with these cells will include virus infection to be followed by Enzyme Immunoassays, DNA/RNA quantification, qRT-PCR, Western blot, and several other molecular biology techniques. Animal experiments will require handling of mice and assessing motor dysfunction in mice using observational techniques. Prior experience working with laboratory mice is a plus but not a requirement. The chosen applicant will undergo proper training for work with laboratory mice.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Associate’s in a biological science related field plus two years experience working in a cell biology or immunology laboratory; equivalent education experience considered. Familiarity with Excel and Basic biology.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences. Experience in an Immunology laboratory. Basic immunology or microbiology.
