Position Highlights

The Human Spatial Cognition Lab at The University of Arizona Psychology Department is seeking a research specialist to assist with programming, coordinating, and conducting human subjects testing involving virtual reality in the lab. The primary responsibility of the research specialist will be to work with the principal investigator to program and maintain new experiments involving virtual reality and fMRI. The Human Spatial Cognition Lab works at the forefront of testing in virtual reality and is seeking a qualified, highly motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join our team.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Developing and testing new experiments.
  • Assisting with testing human subjects participants in the lab alongside graduate students and staff. This will include assisting with MRI.
  • Assisting with coordinating undergraduate volunteers and other administrative duties.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors in psychology, neuroscience, engineering, computer science, or information sciences.
  • Past programming experience, either in terms of coursework or on the job experience.
  • Experience with human subjects testing.
