Position Summary
This position works on research investigating mental health and biomarkers (e.g., inflammation) across three generations (i.e., grandparents, parents, children).


Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with participant recruitment and scheduling.
  • Coordinate undergraduate research assistants and other research staff.
  • Develop and maintain self-report and behavioral data acquisition protocols.
  • Draw and process blood samples. Manage samples and maintain lab equipment.
  • Conduct inflammation assays from basal samples as well as stimulated (i.e., LPS and dexamethasone).
  • Assist with longitudinal dataset management (i.e., maintain ongoing databases and generate datasets for research questions).
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SPSS and/or R statistical programs, Excel, programming (e.g., Python).
  • Phlebotomy experience.
  • Blood and saliva ELISA experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently, and take initiative.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent years of experience in a laboratory or research setting.
  • Some positions may require a Master's degree due to experience/knowledge required of research area.

Salary Range
$16.08 - $25.12 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
