Position Description
The Cheadle Laboratory at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory on Long Island, New York is looking to hire a research technician IIto contribute to our research program in developmental neuro-immunology. We apply a diverse array of strategies to uncover the cell types and the molecular pathways that shape brain development in response to sensory experience. We are particularly interested in how glia, such as microglia and oligodendrocyte precursor cells, contribute to the development of the mouse visual system in health and disease. The primary duties will involve mouse colony maintenance, husbandry, and management (including genotyping); general tasks such as organizing laboratory databases, samples, and supplies; training and onboarding new and temporary lab members; and generally providing support to help the graduate students and postdocs in the lab accomplish their research goals. We offer an exciting, dynamic, and challenging environment where big discoveries are made, and we look forward to adding a new team member to help us in our effort.  The candidate should also be seeking a longer term commitment beyond two years.

Position Requirements
Qualifications: Candidates should have a BS or MS. Experience & Skills: We are looking for someone with prior experience working with and managing an extensive mouse colony, organizing a laboratory, training or onboarding new organization/laboratory members, and working collaboratively with others.
