Position Highlights | The primary responsibility of this professional will be participating in field, greenhouse and laboratory research, measuring greenhouse gas emissions. The individual will also participate in outreach activities. Research duties will include collecting soil, water, and plant biomass samples from the field, process them for analyses, run analyses, procure and organize research data, perform statistical analyses, and write brief study reports. The ideal candidate would have the following, an understanding of environmental science principles, experience in working with chemicals, electronic instruments, the ability to work outside for extended hours, the ability to drive vehicles to rural and urban field research sites the ability to learn new skills, the ability to write reports and scientific manuscripts and the motivation to work with agricultural stakeholders.
This is an Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) position.
