Position Highlights The Bureau of Applied Research in Anthropology is seeking a Research Aide (multiple positions) to work with Dr. Diane Austin, Mr. Kevin Bulletts, and BARA and Arizona State Museum staff to help conduct interviews and participant observation; assist with transcriptions of digital recordings; and help process museum collections, organize materials for archiving, and maintain project databases for several community research projects.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with ethnographic fieldwork (participant observation and interviews)
  • Assist with transcription of digital recordings of meetings, focus groups, and interviews
  • Help review and process data and collections from archaeological research projects
  • Help develop and maintain project databases
  • Help organize photographs and site data in preparation for long-term archiving
  • Help develop and update project databases

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Experience working in a higher education institution.
