Research Technician

Job Description

The Mana lab conducts high impact science. We strive hard for our mission - to understand stem cell regulation through diet and disease. We value quality, rigor, curiosity, and innovation in our approach. The Mana lab seeks discovery and growth, and thus promotes a dynamic lab environment filled with self-motivated, creative, collaborative, and hardworking labmates. The Mana lab uses genetic mouse models and organoids (mouse and human) to explore the metabolic and epigenetic regulation in stem cells and cancer. This requires in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro experiments. The Research technician will have a critical role in 1) learning and applying methods and techniques that are fundamental to the lab, 2) assist with maintaining a mouse colony, and 3) assisting with lab management by helping with ordering, organizing lab equipment/supplies, and on-boarding and training new labmates. The research technician will be a fundamental team player in ongoing research projects to advance the goals of the grant.
