A laboratory animal focused technician position is available to do research on Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The applicant will be able to participate in exciting cell biology studies exploring the pathophysiology of these illnesses, and contribute to the development of novel therapeutic agents.
The responsibilities include:
1) Managing our colony of mice (including genotyping and breeding)
2) Performing behavioral studies and procedures related to the mice
3) Performing molecular and immunochemical experiments in collaboration with other laboratory members
The applicant must be strongly motivated, able to work independently and possess a strong ability to organize data. In addition, have good interpersonal skills. The applicant must have a bachelors degree and 3-5 years of prior laboratory experience. Compensation is dependent on experience.

Candidates must have experience working with miceor rats; experience in behavior is a plus.
