Posting Summary	Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist V in the Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine (CABM). A research position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Alexander Valvezan at the Rutgers University Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine (CABM). The Valvezan Lab studies the complex interplay between signaling pathways and metabolic networks in cell growth and cancer, with emphasis on exploiting metabolic vulnerabilities to develop new therapeutic approaches. The candidate will pursue their own independent research project, working at the interface of basic and translational science. Compile data and present findings.  Assist with ordering, shipping, receiving, and inventory.  Work independently as well as collaboratively, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.  Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience	Qualified applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in biology, biochemistry or related field, and a passion to continue working and learning in these areas.  Prior research experience is an asset.

Physical Demands and Work Environment	Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, talking, seeing, and hearing.
