POSITION SUMMARY:
The Research Support Specialist will support projects in the Sleep Research with various duties, including examining behavioral sleep treatments involving caregivers of persons with dementia, autistic children, etc. This position may coordinate all lab activities, manage any Research Assistants, in support of all grant activities.
Applicants must demonstrate interest in pursuing publication and research opportunities. This position may also supervise graduate research assistants in the lab.

This position is grant funded and time limited.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Examining behavioral sleep treatments involving caregivers of persons with dementia, autistic children, etc. Provides information on studies to potential program participants and the general public. This position may coordinate all lab activities, manage any Research Assistants, in support of all grant activities. Applicants must demonstrate interest in pursuing publication and research opportunities.
Aiding in recruitment efforts, conducting physiological assessments (e.g., actigraphy, heart rate variability, etc), neuroimaging procedures, etc. This position should have experience with polysomnography, actigraphy, neuroimaging, and/or cognitive behavioral/behavioral approaches to treating insomnia and other sleep disorders is highly desirable, but training will also be provided as needed.
Involvement in archival data analysis/manuscript preparation as well as ongoing studies examining sleep and its correlates (e.g., cognition, pain, brain structure, and function, stress, mood, BMI) in individuals with autism, chronic pain, and or obesity.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience in office or administrative support or in research support. College education may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis.
PREFERRED:
BA or BS in Clinical Psychology or related field. Experience with polysomnography, actigraphy, neuroimaging, and/or cognitive behavioral/behavioral approaches to treating insomnia and other sleep disorders is highly desirable, but training will also be provided as needed.
