Job Summary:
The main focus of the incumbent will be to provide technical and laboratory managerial support for both CTI laboratories, including assisting with the training and supervising of new lab members and the day-to-day operations of laboratories. The applicant must have good understanding of fundamental molecular, biochemical, and cell biology (preferably with a focus on immunology and/or virology) concepts. Successful applicants will be familiar with and capable of performing a wide range of lab procedures/duties including but not limited to: basic molecular biology techniques such as isolation and purification of DNA/RNA, real time PCR, gel electrophoresis, immunoblots, maintain/work with cell culture, flow cytometry analysis, and basic laboratory maintenance. Work will include collaborative experiments with mouse models of disease.  
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree with a preference for a degree in biology (with a focus on immunology or virology) or chemistry. Previous experience with molecular cloning will be advantageous. Prior laboratory experience working with mouse lymphocytes for downstream applications with multicolor flow cytometry are highly preferred. The successful candidate will possess an ability to work independently, take initiative, and multitask while supporting the activities of two independent faculty investigators. Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
