Position Description
Advertised Job Summary | The successful candidate will be a lab manager for a growing lab whose research program focuses on the role of ubiquitination in human disease. Working closely with the investigator, the successful applicant will 1) lead a project investigating the role of ubiquitin ligases in an animal model of colorectal cancer (requiring experience with animal handling, breeding, genotyping, and some surgical procedures); 2) order research supplies and prepare solutions; 3) assist in writing animal use protocols, biosafety protocols, and radiation programs to keep the lab fully compliant with state and federal guidelines; 4) maintenance of research and laboratory records; 5) helping to train and supervise undergraduate students. |

Required Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree in area of specialty, such as Biological Sciences. |
Preferred Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field and 2 years of experience, preferably in microbiological techniques. |
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities | Great organization skills; The ability to work autonomously; Excellent time management skills; Must be trained in aseptic technique; Basic knowledge of how to prepare microbiological specialty media. |
