# of Openings: 1
Category: Research and Laboratory
Princeton University
Overview

The Princeton Adversity and Relationships in Context Lab (ARC Lab) is seeking a full-time lab manager to begin June 3, 2024 (start date is negotiable). The primary goal of research in the ARC Lab is to understand and reduce inequality in society. Drawing on social and cultural perspectives, our research investigates two broad questions within the contexts of social class: (1) what are the consequences of adversity on close relationships and (2) what role do close relationships play in mitigating or exacerbating the consequences of adversity? Please visit our website arc.princeton.edu for more information about the lab and the work being done.

Please submit a CV, a transcript, and a cover letter describing academic and research goals, as well as technical and research experience. At the end of your cover letter, please include your earliest possible start date and the contact information for at least two references.

This is a one-year termed position with the possibility (and expectation) of renewal for a second year. As Princeton University is not an E-verified institution, OPT STEM extension for a second year or more is not eligible.

Review of applications will begin immediately; the final deadline to submit is April 8, 2024. If you have any additional questions, please contact Danny Hang ([email protected]).

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work closely with Professor Rebecca Carey and assist with all aspects of research, including:

(1) collaboration on projects (e.g., conducting literature reviews, completing IRB submissions, recruiting, scheduling and running participants, designing study materials, coding and analyzing data, assisting with publications and presentations)
(2) research team management (e.g., coordinating research project logistics, hiring, training and managing research assistants, leading research team meetings)
(3) general lab administration duties (e.g., lab meeting and event management, updating lab documents and policies, maintaining lab website, purchasing lab necessities, maintaining lab equipment)

Additionally, the lab manager will have the option to lead independent research projects in the lab.
