Research Specialist
Dean - SPH/TM
Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary
The candidate will support the analyses of data extracted for health information systems and health equity scoping review manuscript with the following key tasks:
· Conduct thematic analysis of the extracted information from review study
· Draft introduction, methods, and results sections of journal publication
· Lead results section writing and response to comments
· Finalize publication and support submission to journal
· Respond to research and journal questions
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Technical skills and competencies to conduct quantifiable, meaningful research
· Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
· Ability to interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds at all levels internal and external to the organization
· Ability to work collaboratively as a positive, contributing member of a team 
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
· Ability to prioritize work, performing assignments with minimal supervision
· Experience with health information systems
· Capacity to write publication quality manuscripts
Required Education and/or Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Three years of relevant experience to include experience with health information systems, conducting evidence syntheses and publication writing
Preferred Qualifications
· Work experience in an academic environment.
Compensation Information
This position is classified as "exempt, salaried" and is assigned to pay grade 25.
