We are a new neuroscience lab in the Department of Biology.


We study neural circuits underlying social behaviors using modern system neuroscience techniques, advanced analytical methods, and novel rodent behavioral paradigms.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual with excellent organizational skills and ability to work well with others.  The successful candidate will have a willingness to learn and acquire new skills. The position is renewable after one year.


Specific Job Duties:


This person will perform routine laboratory tasks and pursue his/her own supervised research projects. Tasks included but not limited to:

  • Rodent work (i.e., surgery, behavior, handling, breeding, etc.)
  • Microscopy
  • Histology
  • Data analysis 
  • Maintaining laboratory protocols and other basic lab functions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills and experience troubleshooting experiments are preferred.
  • Candidates with neuroscience laboratory experience are preferred.
  • Experience working with rodents is not necessary, but will be helpful.
  • A bachelor’s degree and laboratory experience is desired.
