The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences is looking for a Research Senior Associate to join a research team.  The individual will be performing research in mass spectrometry.  The person in this position will assist in the development of analytical methods of chemical analysis by mass spectrometry and characterize specific reaction pathways, either in gas-phase or microdroplet-phase.  Duties include designing and developing new experimental approaches and tools, analyzing and interpreting research results and preparing manuscripts for publication.  Other responsibilities include overseeing operations for instrumentation, collaborating with the Principal Investigator (PI) and research group, assisting with proposals for external funding.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in chemistry or related area with 4 years of research experience. 

Desired Qualifications:

PhD in Analytical or related area and 5-7 years of research experience.

The pay range for this job profile is $53,800 - $71,700. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
