Job Summary:
The Research Specialist will perform work within one of the facilities and laboratories of the Department of Applied Physical Sciences. Job duties include design and execution of peptide synthesis, organic synthesis, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) purification, mass spectrometry and other related laboratory duties, managing and operating the peptide synthesis facility, assisting in the development and execution of workshops and trainings for users, mentoring students, and participating in outreach activities.  
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
