The Research Scientist within Chemistry and Biochemistry under the College of Arts and Sciences provides computational support of research projects in the Hadad research group, including computational modeling with electronic structure theory, molecular dynamics, molecular docking, and steered molecular dynamics methods.

Minimum Education Required
Doctoral Degree in Chemistry or related physical science.

Required Qualifications

Experience with computational chemistry software including the Gaussian suite of programs and the Molecular Operating Environment suite, at minimum, and experience with PyMol, AMBER and NAMD is valuable.

Demonstrated ability to be a competent and productive researcher (i.e., incumbent will typically have authored several publications of considerable interest and value to the field as evidenced by favorable reviews, by citation in the work of others, by presentations of papers to professional societies, and/or will have contributed inventions, new designs, or techniques which are of material significance in the solution of important applied problems).
