Job Overview

In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine’s faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day.

 

The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a research scientist to work with the Sengupta Lab in performing research on projects related to electrophysiology and its effects on cancer cells. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.
 


Essential Functions
  • Modify and adapt experimental protocols, techniques and procedures to specific project requirements. 
  • Design, coordinate and conduct experimental procedures. 
  • Prepare research results and written summaries of results in manuscript form for publications and in graphics form for presentation at research meetings and for grant proposals. 
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with regulatory protocols and records.
  • May submit research proposals as principal investigator for intramural/extramural funding.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). 
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
