The PREP program requires staff from a wide range of backgrounds to work on scientific research in many areas. Employees in this position will perform technical work that underpins the scientific research of the collaboration.

The position’s overall goal is to support and enhance the NIST/PREP program, which promotes scientific training in research for researchers with a wide spectrum of backgrounds and expertise (including students, post-doctoral researchers, and senior research faculty, in addition to this specific position).

Work Interactions

This Research Scientist will interact as part of the NIST/GU PREP team, and will be jointly supervised and managed by a GU scientist (typically the Georgetown Director of the GU/PREP program) and a NIST scientist. In most cases the technical work will be carried out at NIST, but in some cases the work will be carried out at Georgetown.

They will also interact with other scientists on the specific project.
