Position Description:

The Parker lab is initiating a new endeavor in biomanufacturing for regenerative medicine. To meet the goals of this new project we are seeking a PhD scientist to perform the following tasks:
Primary Task: Oversee the production of stem cell derived heart cells.
Supporting Tasks:
1) Bioreactor sterilization, calibration, full differentiation run, documentation, harvest, freezing (master cell bank creation), and quality control
2) Monolayer differentiation of stem cells
3) Exosome production, harvest, co-culture of fat cells with stem cell derived cardiac myocytes
4) Harvest animal tissues and cells
5) Inventory management (media, drugs, buffers) for continuous operation of the monolayer differentiation and the bioreactor
6) Logistical coordination for cells with collaborators
7) Training of lab personnel and maintenance of their training records
8) Maintenance of all protocols for the use of animals in experiments and the use of human cells and tissues
9) Production of nanofiber scaffolds for cell culture and tissue engineering

Basic Qualifications:

Candidates are required to have a PhD and at least five years of postdoctoral experience. We strongly encourage applications from historically underrepresented groups.
