The Department of Medicine: Oncology has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Scientist/Engineer to join their team.

Field of Research

This position is engaged in Phase 1 Oncology Clinical and Translational Research. Specific cancers that are researched are renal/melanoma, GI, GU, breast, lung, head, and neck, sarcoma, GYN, and lymphoma.

Position Purpose

The Phase 1 Clinical Trials Program at FHCC is dedicated to investigation of novel anticancer therapeutic agents (small molecules, antibodies, proteins, vaccines, and other). The Program has special focus on immunotherapy development. This position will support work in the laboratory to determine pharmacokinetic, biomarker, and correlative parameters of agent activity. The position is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory and to manage the quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) program to ensure a high level of quality in support of the policies, goals, and objectives of the Phase 1 Clinicl Trials Program. The position will be responsible for designing lab space and operation. This position will oversee budget for laboratory maintenance and supplies.
