The Department of Medicine: Allergy and Infectious Diseases has an outstanding opportunity for Research Scientist/Engineer 4 - CERID to join their team.

Field of Research:
The overall goal of the research is to discover new drugs for the treatment of these infectious diseases and cancer. Work will be done in collaboration with the UW Chemistry Department or WuXi Inc. who will supply the novel compounds to test for inhibition of parasite enzyme.

Purpose of Research:
Perform and guide laboratory research work in support of studies on infectious disease pathogens in both human and animals. Perform and guide laboratory research work in support of studies on prostate cancer. Work as a team of researchers on novel drug candidates in the difficult process to find and develop treatments that for pathogens in both human and animals. Work as a team to develop a treatment for prostate cancer.

Stakeholders:
NIH funded Project Grants administered in the UW Department of Medicine, Division of Allergy and Infectious Disease, CERID.
