The Department of Biochemistry: Dr. Wills Lab has an outstanding opportunity for Research Scientist/Engr 1 to join their team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lab research support (50%)
This responsibility will include molecular biology (cloning, PCR, gene sequencing, in vitro transcription) to maintain and extend lab plasmid, primer and RNA probe stocks. This will also include preparation and maintenance of routinely-used lab solutions, supplies, and equipment, and work with our animal colony (Xenopus frogs) to prepare animals or embryos for use in experiments.

Lab logistics management (50%)
This responsibility will include routine lab managerial tasks and occasional support tasks that allow the lab to run smoothly. These may include: ordering and maintaining lab inventory; maintenance of lab databases, training records, protocols and manuals; overseeing and updating scheduling; facilitating interactions with vendors, repairpersons, safety and animal use inspections; updating the lab website.
